did it start?
|
|
The first
story was about Walter, the good dragon,
& the Princess. After our family lost
our home in the 1992 Humboldt County earthquakes,
I needed an project to get my mind off my
troubles. It began as therapy. As I shared
the concept with my family and friends,
more characters and situations were created.
|
|
Everyone
had a story to share and wanted to become
involved. I needed to create more opportunities
for involvement so I made a whole world
of possibilities. The Enchanted Forest,
the Village, a futuristic Dome City, the
Old West, the far away City, and more. Next
I added the Time Traveler so we could go
any place in any time.

really started to EXPLODE!

are the characters? |
| They are make
believe with real personalities and situations.
I wrote about people I had met when I was
a child and individuals from our small town.
Of chores I couldn't use their names and true
stories, so I changed them to fantasy characters
like elves, fairies, unicorns and dragons.

| As artists and writers joined
the group, new ideas started taking shape
and more characters were added. It is incredible
how a good idea can catch on and spread like
a virus. We call it Dandy Fever. |
